Truffe Noir

Summer not only means holiday, but it is also black truffle season and Hong Kong is renowned for fabulous dining scene.

My all-time favorite Italian restaurant must be Otto e Mezzo, Chef Bombana never fails with his magic cooking.  Apart from a gorgeous menu, they also have an extensive wine list.  Staff is friendly and helpful with wine pairing.

Another fabulous place for truffle experience is Mandarin Grill at Mandarin Oriental.  Some people find it a bit too 'fine and formal', but if you want a sumptuous dinner on a special day, Mandrin Grill is the perfect place to be.  You must try their Sirloin, which is by-far the best I have had in Hong Kong.

Speaking of Mandarin Oriental, how can I not mention Pierre!  From starter to dessert, they almost got everything perfect.  A two-course dinner would normally satisfy me, plus all the champagne and wine, a full-on tasting menu is always too much...

Hope you enjoy this post and next time I will share a few truffle recipes.

Buon Appetito!
